Windows 8 Hell or why my Internet Explorer does not function properly

Have you ever opened your Internet Explorer (on Windows 8 computer) and find that it has an address bar at the bottom and is always maximized? Well, I did. I have been using my laptop for a while but only a few days ago I came to worked, opened IE and saw this new and unwelcome change.

I tweaked it around for a while until magically things were back to normal. And here is what I found – apparently Windows 8 had two versions of Internet Explorer, the hellish one (tile version) and… well, the normal one. To open the normal one, open it by clicking on the Desktop tile and then click IE icon in the taskbar. If it is not there, go to all programs, right-click on Internet Explorer and select “Pin to Taskbar”. Hope this will help someone

My latest finds

Came accross couple of items on Topshop I could not say no to – a babydoll dress and a pair of denim culottes.

The dress was sold out on Topshop but I found it here

Culottes I got here

I never liked culottes – they are for the most part unflattering and are extremely hard to style but I have decided to give it a try. Can’t wait for them to arrive!

Update: I had to return both the dress and culottes. The dress fit great in the waist and I loved the full skirt abd heavy cotton of the dress but top was incredibly tight – I could not breathe. The culottes were not flattering at all and the material felt too soft for this style.

Shiseido matifying oil-free moisturizer

As many people do, I have a very dry skin all over except tye dreadful t-zone where my skin is oily and very shiny at times. I have noticed that although mostly dry, my skin gets extremely ouly in a highly air-conditioned office. It gets to the point where I have to make numerous trips to the bathroom just to blot and/or wash my face with cold water to make my existence bearable and my face bareable. Pun intended.

So I did some research and found that my skin, in fact, does not get oily but instead gets extremely dry, causing my pores to spit out oil in excess in order to compensate for extreme dryness. turn out moisturizer was the answer to my problem. I have tried a fair amount of different moisturizers and creams with no luck until I found Shiseido matifyin oil-free one. There are many product out there that promise you an oil-free existence but none of them really delivers. Instead they create this ouly feeling from the start, which pretty much ruins my day before it even started.

One day I was browsing on my computer and saw the word “matifying” inthe nale. a bery attractive word to me for the obvious reasons – I was so tired of my pores oozing with oil as soon as I step into the office. So after work I headed to the nearby Bloomingdale’s and got myself a bottle of this promissing new moisturizer.

Well, it totally worked. and, as can be seen from the photo above, it is approaching its end, which is more than I can say for hundreds of other products, occupying my bathroom at one time or another.

This moisturizer does the job without an uneasy oily feeling, dries fast, leaving your skin feeling great. It smells nice and truly is oil-free. Highly recommend for dry and combination skin. Office environment tested, husband approved.

The Chariot

January 20th – February 18th

My story:
A secretary is asked by her boss to schedule a meeting with a particular person but cannot fullfill the manager’s request because the person refuses to attend the meeting
Reversed often points out to feelings that things are slipping out of your control and that you do not have a say in the current situation. Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. While in the upright position there is some kind of level of control possessed by the querrent, in the reversed position there is absolutely none.

Sometimes refers to a “deadlock” situation where two entities are using the same resource and neither entity or process can exit untill the other one is finished therefore creating a situation in which ending a disagreement is impossible because neither side will give up what it wants.

For example two people get into a disagreement where one person decides they will not speak to another, untill the other one appologizes, meanwhile the other person decides that they will indeed appologize after the other person starts speaking to them again.

General Meaning:

Inability to perform a task because you don’t have all the control. Just like a chariot depends on more than one wheel, the resolution of your situation depends on more than one factor and/or another person, so you do not have control over all of them
